Poodle Doodle Press was established in 2020 in order to publish enchanting playbooks and absorbing picture books that kindle a love of reading in children aged 0-8. Our playbooks are excitingly varied—they’re novelty books, pop-up books, talking books, read-along books, and anything else a creative author or designer can dream up.
 
Here at Poodle Doodle Press, we respect children. We respect their intellect, their curiosity, their receptiveness to new experiences, and their thirst for knowledge and competence. Above all, we understand their openness and their unselfconscious delight in fun. Poodle Doodle partners with authors and illustrators who can tap into all those things.
 
Most of our novelty books are board books, and many of them rhyme. Their themes revolve around the daily life of young children. Children’s familiarity with the subjects of the books and their joy in being able to chime in with the books’ simple rhymes increase their desire to explore the world of reading.
 
Our warm and funny picture books integrate text with illustration in creative ways. They are designed to include ingenious detail that make these books ones that children want to read again and again—with a grownup or on their own.
